Central Ga Head & Neck Surgery Center is currently seeking an ASC Manager to coordinate ASC services and deliver quality patient care. Our ASC Manager will be an optimistic, enthusiastic nurse leader that is able to provide oversight and guidance for day-to-day operations, policy and procedures, quality improvement and accreditation requirements of the Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Our ASC Manager will provide direct patient care, facilitate staff development, and provide feedback to the Board of Directors and Practice Administrators regarding staff performance. Our ASC Manager will also provide leadership to the entire patient care team. The ASC Manager will collaborate with the Board of Directors, practitioners, and the leadership team in the ENT practice to meet the strategic management goals of both the ASC and the practice.
This position will be full time with Monday through Friday hours. No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays.
The ASC Manager maintains full accountability for leading and managing the human resources, clinical, financial, and administrative operations in order to establish, maintain, and continuously improve the quality of patient care while creating a healthy workplace for staff in collaboration with organizational leadership.
Additional Roles & Responsibilities
Oversees the operations of the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC).
Determines and adjusts staffing standards based on patient care needs, patient flow, medical acuity, procedures, staff skills, and other clinical needs. Assumes accountability for day-to-day operations of the ASC while continuing to function clinically when necessary.
Involves stakeholders and experts in planning, designing, and redesigning operational and procedural changes. Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.
Demonstrates accountability for professional development that improves the quality of professional practice and the quality of patient care. Oversees daily operations of ASC regarding patients, staff, physicians, and ancillary support/departments.
Collaborates with medical staff to monitor patient outcomes. Sets clinical quality priorities. Recommends and implements professional improvements and initiatives. Implements ASC-based safety initiatives.
Actively oversees all aspects of regulatory compliance (CMS, Medicare, AAAHC, etc.) including all outside agencies and audits as well as internal requirements such as core competencies and training.
Creates developmental paths and plans for staff to increase their expertise.
Oversees and manages the interviewing, selection, hiring, training, and evaluating of staff. Oversees a progressive discipline process for staff.
Demonstrates sound fiscal responsibility in the development and management of ASC expenses and recommendations for capital purchases.
Oversees programs and patient coordination activities to ensure program goals and objectives
Develops and optimizes the clinical care tools of the ASC and the physicians
About Central GA Head & Neck Surgery Center
The Central Georgia Head & Neck Surgery Center is an outpatient ambulatory surgery center specializing in comprehensive ear, nose and throat services for infants to adults. We are a free-standing, single specialty ASC located in downtown Macon, Georgia. The surgeons that operate at our ASC are from The ENT Center of Central Georgia.
Opened in 1999, our team of surgeons, anesthetists and nurses perform approximately 2,000 procedures per year. We are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified and our facility is accredited with AAAHC and licensed by the State of Georgia.
