Rockford Center is seeking a dynamic and talented Substance Abuse/Addictions Counselor/CADC.
Rockford Center is Delawareâ€™s first private psychiatric facility and remains a leader in providing behavioral health care services and continues its commitment to providing quality health care.Â Rockford Center, a 138-bed acute psychiatric hospital continues to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children.
The Substance Abuse/Addictions Counselor/CADC will provide direct patient care to geriatrics, adults, adolescents and children with psychiatric disorders as well as dual-diagnosis patients to ensure the safety and well being of patients.
Key Responsibilities include:
Participate in treatment planning by helping to identify patientsâ€™ problems, needs and strengths. Report all areas of concern regarding patientâ€™s mental or physical status to the Charge Nurse.
Assist in the admission process, including obtaining vital signs, safety search of patients and personal belongings, obtaining urine specimens and orienting new patients to the unit and their program.
Ensure precaution protocols are followed, and encourage patients to actively participate in all program activities.
Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation ensuring that forms are properly and promptly completed and routed.
Participate in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unitâ€™s and the hospitalâ€™s safe operation.
Provide daily substance abuse recovery groups
Liaison between Social Services to assist in program formulation.
