Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a brand new 126 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital opening in the summer of 2018. The facility is a joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.Â

We are seeking an eveningÂ shift House Supervisor to join our great team!Â
The house supervisor provides oversight for all inpatient departments in the absence of nursing leadership.Â The supervisor must effectively manage the facility and assume the nursing administrator role in the absence of the Chief Nursing Office and the Nurse Managers on call. The supervisor determines when an issue is to be escalated to the system nursing administrator on call. As a representative of hospital administration, the supervisor serves as a representative for the staff, acting as a liaison between management and theÂ staff as deemed necessary.Â The house supervisor will maintain the level of quality patient care that is expected across the hospital.Â The supervisor addresses patient care, staffing, and other issues when appropriate.Â The supervisor takes administrative responsibility to ensure that adequate nursing staffing for oncoming shifts are appropriate.Â When reassigning nursing staff to other areas, the supervisor ensures they are clinically qualified to take the patient assignment. The house supervisor is self-motivated and has the ability to adapt quickly to unpredictable and fluctuating situations. Â
