To achieve optimal utilization of Brentwoodâ€™s continuum of care by developing and maintaining direct referral relationships in assigned target markets and assess the needs of patients and callers to ensure their referral to the services or resources to best address those needs.
Identifies presenting problems and needs of callers, scheduling a face to face clinical assessment when indicated.
Accurately determines callerâ€™s appropriateness for Brentwood services.
Facilitates appropriate callers access to optimal level of care within the Brentwood system.
Is consistently successful in scheduling face-to-face assessments.
Refer callers who are not appropriate for Brentwoodâ€™s services to other optimal services provider as necessary, effectively matching callerâ€™s needs and resources with available services.
Demonstrates skill in identifying viable potential referral sources; skill in building rapport with clients and assessing needs of prospective referral sources and Brentwoodâ€™s ability to meet those needs.
Utilizes effective probing skills and sales call; facilitates positive communication between hospital and referral sources; consistently able to overcome objectives expressed by customers; provides effective follow-up skills; effectively implements viable action plans responsive to customerâ€™s needs.
Actively supports the hospitalâ€™s ongoing referral development program by :
(1) Assisting non-sales staff in making calls
(2) As requested or assigned, provides formal or informal training to non-sales staff on referral techniques
(3) Consistently adheres to the hospitalâ€™s referral communication policy.
(4) Facilitates cooperation and problem solving between clinical staff and referral sources.
Maintains all documents and records associated with sales activities; tracks weekly sales activity accurately; submits required monthly and weekly paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner; keeps written goals, objectives, and related referral source information in an organized and concise format.
Demonstrates conduct in keeping with Brentwoodâ€™s ethical standards and complies with the Corporate Compliance Program; avoids engaging in outside activities which are in conflict to the best interest of the hospital; conduct on and off site reflects favorably on Brentwood.
