This position directs operational activities and provides vendor management support for the Ambulatory Coding team under the direction of Sr. Ambulatory Coding Director. This position oversees processes and systems related to the ambulatory coding operations to maximize efficiency and revenue to the business unit. This includes providing operational oversight for vendor management, software implementations and special project management.
Manages multiple aspects of assigned vendor relationships, including but not limited to vendor onboarding and program administration, contract management and reporting, performance and relationship management, and stakeholder communication.
Ensures the enforcement of compliance policies with vendors and tracking vendor performance.
Develops and maintains reporting on contract performance, vendor performance and spend for senior management.
Ensures contracts go through appropriate approval process before implementation.
Supports leadership in the development and enhancement of policies, controls, processes and tools to support vendor management activities.
Supports software implementations as knowledge expert in coding operations.
Leads ambulatory coding operations special projects. Provides stake holder communication and creates process improvement documentation and KPI tracking for leadership.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of financial processes and reporting as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in finance, management, related field or work experience.
Requires knowledge of physician practice revenue cycles as normally demonstrated through 5-7 years of operational experience in physician practice management. Requires demonstrated ability to recognize opportunities for creating operational efficiencies. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as effective human relations skills for building and maintaining a working relationship with all levels of staff, physicians, and other contacts. This includes demonstrating strong influential and negotiation skills in a highly complex, matrix reporting organization.
Must have excellent analytical and data interpretation skills and proficiency in database and spreadsheet software.
