University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our Psychiatry department in Minneapolis, MN.
The Psychiatry Clinic with University of Minnesota Health is composed of world-renowned experts skilled at managing and treating individuals with mental health needs. We offer a wide range of new treatment options for patients with anxiety, depression, and chemical dependency among other mental health conditions.
Locations: The provider may be located at one main site (UMMC, Southdale, etc.) and provide telemedicine coverage for outlying hospitals throughout the M Health Fairview system.
Schedule: 8am-4pmMon-Friday with occasional weekend coverage.
Volume: 6 to 8 patients per day.
Role: Work collaboratively with licensed mental health professionals and psychiatrists to provide a combination of in-person and virtual psychiatric consultations to various medical specialties within a hospital setting.
Group: 5 employed providers, 2 independent contractors, 2 licensed mental health providers, and a few casual providers who help cover weekends.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Adult Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program.
Current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges or a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice.
Certified through ANCC/AANP or eligible for ANCC/AANP national exam or through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
