Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center is a partnership with University of MN Physicians where you will find more than 20 medical specialties in one convenient location. Our patients have access to primary and specialty care for pediatrics and adults which also includes a cancer center, breast center and the ambulatory surgery center. We have four Endoscopy Procedure rooms and four Operating Rooms.
This instrument technician determines Operating Room surgical instruments needed for surgery cases and sets up surgical instrument trays. Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments including preparation. This role will also include cleaning and disinfecting of Endoscopy equipment and scopes, exam room prep, and clean-up including the documentation of cleaning and disinfection processes. Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses and medical staff in the Operating Room and Endoscopy Procedure rooms.Directly contributes to customer service and patient satisfaction.
Vocational/Technical training or Associates degree as LPN, Surg Tech or Sterile Processing
1 year experience in hospital OR instrumentation within the past 3 years or 2 years experience in assembly and
sterilization of hospital OR instrumentation within the past 3 years OR enrolled in on-site training.
