Primary Function:
We are seeking aFull-Time Data Analyst fordata/analytics support for business units engaged with population health endeavors across the enterprise. The Population Health analytics team works with a variety of data sources including healthcare claims, clinical/EMR/registry data, digital engagement tools, and information from local health information exchanges.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluating large amounts of healthcare data to find substantial patterns, trends, and relationships
Supervising data quality and analyzing data using statistical tools
Presenting data in charts, graphs, tables and leveraging relational databases for collecting data
Responsible for transforming the data into business information that helps assists with decision making
Ability to interpret and present the findings to the organization and key stakeholders under the mentorship of senior members of the team
Identify, design and/or recommend resources and analytical methods to meet organizational goals/needs (i.e. dashboards incorporating clinical and business metrics tailored to strategic or operational population health goals)
Propose methods to minimize confounding variables and limitations of data
Demonstrate expertise in the use of analytical and statistical tools and techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, statistical process control, distribution, and control charts) to identify when, where, and how to measure processes and systems and make decisions supported by data.
Facilitate and build environment oriented to teamwork and problem solving.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in relevant discipline
Requires intermediate skills in Microsoft SQL, Excel, R or Python, Minitab, Tableau or Qlikview
Required 4 years of total experience in working with reporting ; or data analysis and visualization; experience with claims data preferred
Expertise in using electronic medical records/care management systems, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
Clinical or healthcare background preferred
