The Manager of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) at ChristianaCare will attract, develop, and retain a team of Enterprise Program and Project Managers as they lead the successful delivery of strategic enterprise programs and projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require multifaceted change management to deliver business value. While being a people leader, this position also can be a leader of leaders and some experience in that capacity is desired.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Attract, develop, and retain a team of Enterprise Program and Project Managers as they deliver on large scale enterprise programs and projects.
Build a cohesive, hard-working team of program/project managers and business analysts who partner with leaders in initiative conception through successful implementation.
Ensure successful delivery of enterprise programs and projects that drive business value and positively affect change while ensuring that project goals are accomplished.
Develop and maintain effective lines of communication and relationships with initiative champions and leadership to ensure EPMO is delivering effective and efficient projects and services.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline work plan.
Serve as a change agent, driving the spread of standard processes organization-wide while resolving issues and breaking down barriers along the way.
Support the continued advancement of a Project Management Community of Practice and facilitate the development of a Center of Excellence.
Provide and presents organizational communication and education on policies and procedures related to the areas of responsibility. Ensures communications are consistent and coordinated.
Support the Corporate Director EPMO on execution of vision.
Education and Experience Requirements:
12 or more years of project management experience accompanied with 7 or more years of leadership and people management experience (preferred) with a precision focus on solving sophisticated business problems for customers both external and internal.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, information systems, project management or related field; project management and/or general business management, or equivalent related experience. PMP training and certification preferred, but not required.
