The integrated system has more than 60 primary and specialty care offices throughout North and West Texas, serving a 23-county referral network. The Cook Children's Physician Network is the largest pediatric multi-specialty physician group in its service area with over 600 employed subspecialty and primary care providers.
OpportunityHighlights:
Joining a well-established consult service-based Palliative Care program which includes an interdisciplinary team of pediatricians, PNPs, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Social Worker, Clinical Therapists, an administrative secretary, and Program Administrator with the goal of growing to 3 physician’s and 5 PNPs by the end of 2023.
Qualified candidates may participate in the fellow’s retention program that will provide a monthly stipend of $2,500 from employment through the start of practice with Cook Children’s.
The team sees patients of all ages and all stages of disease with a diverse variety of medical conditions. Many patients are receiving concurrent care - integrating Palliative Care with curative, disease modifying, and life prolonging treatments. Experience/interest in hematology-oncology will be a plus but not a requirement.
Candidates must be BE/BC in Pediatrics and BE/BC in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and eligible to secure an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
Opportunities available, but not required, to pursue clinical research with support including campus IRB, grant writing, research nurses, a dedicated PhD statistician.
