PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversees staff, providing direction and guidance and administering management functions within the provisions of MultiCare policies and standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
Supervises all nursing personnel to assure quality of care.
Provides expert knowledge and appraisal of all OR nursing functions.
Orients all surgery center employees to the policies and procedures of the facility.
Performs evaluations for all surgery center staff.
Able to work as a staff nurse in all peri-operative areas.
Manages facility policies and procedures by monitoring CDC, AORN, WISHA, OSHA and ANA policies, updating the facility practices and policies to reflect current recommendations.
Assures successful CMA and DOH inspections of the facility by maintaining files, records, and standards relevant to the inspections.
Manges equipment and supplies for the facility.
Manages the environmental safety and integrity of the facility and promptly addresses any issues or concerns.
Works collaboratively with surgeons, CRNAs and MCHS administration to ensure a high standard of care, safety and success of the facility.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing overall clinical supervision through management and clinical expertise. Responsibilities include overall direction of patient care, collaborating with physicians, mid-level providers and staff in order to deliver high quality efficient care in a pleasant, effective environment. It requires efficient personnel management, selection and development designed to minimize turnover. Financial management, through budget analysis and the preparation/implementation of cost reduction efforts, are important aspects of this position.
Requirements
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN)
Current BLS Certification required
Minimum three (3) years increasingly responsible management experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $42.50 - $75.56 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
