Denver Health is seeking a dynamic Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director for our Westside Health Center, leading a team of dedicated clinicians delivering exceptional adult primary care to our community.

Position Overview

As Medical Director, you will provide both clinical leadership and direct patient care within a well-established internal medicine clinic. Working in collaboration with other Medical Directors and Department Chairs, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality care delivery, mentor physicians and advanced practice providers, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that advance Denver Health’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage clinic operations and collaborate with other Medical Directors and Department leadership.
• Provide direct supervision for physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic leadership (nurse manager/program manager and clerical supervisor).
• Champion quality improvement, clinical performance measures, and productivity goals.
• Lead and participate in leadership meetings and system-wide initiatives.
• Deliver outstanding direct patient care and perform approved procedures.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Colorado.
• Minimum 3 years of outpatient clinical experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Eligible for appointment or promotion to Assistant Professor in the respective department.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
