Denver Health is seeking a dynamic Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director for our Westside Health Center, leading a team of dedicated clinicians delivering exceptional adult primary care to our community.
Position Overview
As Medical Director, you will provide both clinical leadership and direct patient care within a well-established internal medicine clinic. Working in collaboration with other Medical Directors and Department Chairs, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality care delivery, mentor physicians and advanced practice providers, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that advance Denver Health’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Manage clinic operations and collaborate with other Medical Directors and Department leadership.
Provide direct supervision for physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic leadership (nurse manager/program manager and clerical supervisor).
Champion quality improvement, clinical performance measures, and productivity goals.
Lead and participate in leadership meetings and system-wide initiatives.
Deliver outstanding direct patient care and perform approved procedures.
Qualifications
MD or DO with Board Certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Colorado.
Minimum 3 years of outpatient clinical experience with demonstrated leadership.
Eligible for appointment or promotion to Assistant Professor in the respective department.
BLS/CPR certification required.
